Barcelona’s Palo Alto Market 2017: 100% Made in BCN

Palo Alto Market BarcelonaA place to find art, music, film, fashion and food!

If you want a chance to experience real Barcelona culture but you don’t have much time, don’t miss the Palo Alto Market! Every month of the year (usually the first weekend of the month) the market comes to life in the gardens of an old factory in the neighborhood of Poblenou.

If you are a lover of art, music, film, fashion, food or anything creative then this is the place for you! One of the most culturally vibrant markets in town, many artists passionate about their craft come together here to introduce the public to their inventive universes.

Palo Alto is also an excellent option for a non-touristy way to see Barcelona. Every month there’s a new theme for the market; but you will always find amazing street food, art exhibitions, film screenings, live music, fashion expos, and many excited people trying to absorb the maximum ‘made in BCN culture‘ as they can!

Everything’s delicious

From savoury churros to vegetarian delights to Aperol’s almost permanent Spritz stand, you can easily while away the hours at this cool Barcelona market without ever feeling a single hunger pang. What’s more, there are specific activities designed for families such as cooking workshops, and other workshops designed for anyone who has an interest in whipping up a storm in the kitchen.

Galleries galore

Once you’ve had a lap around the food trucks (or two laps, because sometimes, you know, there’s cake…) you can stop by the galleries offering exhibitions of local artists’ works. From innovative creations and life hacks to the most chic in bohème designs, you’ll leave here with enough inspiration to start your own craft store, and then some.

100% Barcelona

Whether you’re in Barcelona for a few days, a week, or you’ve been here long enough to call yourself an expert on changing metros at Plaça Catalunya, Palo Alto Market is the perfect place to pick up a gift for yourself, or a cool souvenir. Forget the I ❤ Barcelona t-shirts from Las Ramblas – grab something unique and bursting with Barcelona pride from the stalls offering everything from hand-made jewelry to wooden sunglasses.
