With labyrinthine streets that whisper mysterious stories of secret lives from bygone eras, the city of Barcelona wouldn’t look out of place within the pages of a fairy tale. It is a city that is full of secrets, just waiting to be discovered.
With mystery, comes intrigue, so why not give into temptation and lose yourself within the pages of some of Barcelona’s most unique and unusual shops…
El Rey de la Magia
The next time you are wandering the streets of the city, look for the square bronze plaques on the floor outside many shops; these plaques signify that the shop is over one hundred years old. One of these shops is El Rey de la Magia, a magic shop on Carrer de la Princesa. The shop window is plastered in vintage magic posters, proudly displaying some of the old-school magic tricks on sale inside. Not only does El Rey de la Magia sell every magic trick under sun, but it even offers magic courses in its very own theatre so that you can become the wizard that you’ve always wanted to be.

Fantastik
In the heart of the Raval district lies Fantastik, a bazaar where some say you can find every object under the sun. It’s a treasure trove of madness, where you can fly halfway around the world, without even moving your feet. Don’t miss out on the section from Mexico which has both the biggest collection in the shop, and whose riches are like no other.

WaWas
If you’re looking for a souvenir of your time in Barcelona, we recommend heading to WaWas. A gift shop that stocks all the traditional types of souvenir but with a unique and one of a kind twist, this place is perfect if you just can’t bring yourself to buy another fridge magnet of your time abroad.

Many say that these treats are the best candies they have ever tasted. So, are you up for the challenge?

Barcelona Duck Store
One of the most unique souvenir stores in Barcelona, Barcelona Duck Store pretty much does what it says on the tin. Take a personalised rubber duck home with you and display it fondly in your bathroom, forever reminiscing about the amazing time you had in Barcelona. Be warned, these little guys don’t actually float- but don’t let that stop you getting one as each duck is individually hand-painted with love, using only 100% ecologic paints.
