Barcelona has always been a haven for skaters, if you’ve been to Barcelona you know that skaters are everywhere. After the XGames were held in Barcelona in 2013, the city council has invested in many new skate parks. If you’re heading to Barcelona to skate, make sure that you try our recommendations:
1 – Forum Skatepark
Forum Skatepark is basically a big skate plaza. Made originally in 1992, the whole forum area was reconstructed for the olympic games. You will find this spot next to the sea, close to Diagonal Mar shopping centre. The huge area includes wall rides, sets of stairs, boxes, rails and more, you just have to keep skating round and you will keep finding spots. If you need to cool off after a day of riding, you’ll find the beach right next to this cool Barcelona skate park.

2 – La Mar Bella
La Mar Bella Skatepark is still relatively new in Barcelona. Around 600,000€ was invested to build over the old Mar Bella skate area which was in much need of renewal. Designed by Sergi Arenas, the skate park includes two bowls (10ft & 4ft), a snake run that connects to rails, stairs and everything you will need to practice tricks. La Mar Bella is situated close to the beach and next to the running track, and you can find it here. You’ll be surrounded by friendly people, but it can get busy.
3 – La Guineueta (Canyelles)
Another skate park that has had a must needed lift is La Guineueta. The park includes three bowls, rails and many boxes. It’s a lot of fun to skate here, with a range of obstacles to make sure that riders of all levels can enjoy. Keep an eye out as skateboard events take place at this Barcelona skate park, too. The park can be found here. We recommend taking the L3 metro to Canyelles and then it’s only a five minute walk.

Located in the Les Corts district, 400,000€ has been invested into the spacious park, covering an area of 2,200 square metres. This skate spot includes interlined planes, boxes, rails, a mini pyramid and an area for wall rides. Trees and plants have been added to the to create more of a multipurpose area, SCOB Architecture and Landscape have provided images of the skate park below. It can be found here.
5 – Agora Skatepark
The Agora skatepark, in the area of Badalona is one of the most popular in Barcelona. The park includes sections for beginners, intermediate and the advanced riders. This park is open to the public but competitions are hosted here regularly and you can see why. This skate park has something for everyone.
