Rambla 130 in Barcelona: The Urban Spa

Rambla 130 Mani-Pedi Barcellona

Busy, busy, busy. Whether you’ve been here for a day, a year, or your whole life, anyone can see that the centre of Barcelona is a hive of activity. From the rows of people waiting at the traffic lights for that second when the little man turns green so they can leap across the street, to the endless throngs of camera-clad tourists milling around Plaça Catalunya and up Passeig de Gràcia trying to snap that perfect shot of Casa Batlló.

Yet tucked away (but still in plain sight) on the city’s most iconic street, you’ll find Rambla 130. This is a place of serenity, tranquility and utter peace amongst the hustle and bustle of the Catalan capital. Whether you’re looking to treat yourself to a manicure, a full body massage, or simply some well-earned R&R, this is the spot to do it.

A modern gem in the heart of the Old Town

Rambla 130 Spa in BarcelonaStepping into the hushed reception of Rambla 130, an immediate sense of relaxation takes over you. Having recently opened in May 2015, the centre can be found in a typical grand apartment in Barcelona, which has been completely renovated with clean lines, and a mix of both Nordic and industrial-chic designs, giving it a spacious yet cosy feel.

Divided into different areas, depending on activity or treatment, the layout is ideal for Rambla 130’s extensive range of services. You can pick and choose from their spa menu as you would in a tapas bar, or simply opt for one of the pre-prepared packages at this Barcelona spa.

Beauty treatments range from mani-pedis and waxing, to facials and peelings. The products used here are always of the highest quality: semi-permanent polishes which don’t damage the nails, and Natura Bissè and Carita Paris creams. Professional makeup services are also available. Prices start at 17€ for a basic manicure and 46€ for a facial.

There’s also the option to enjoy a full body peeling (including some using chocolate therapy!) or to choose from an extensive list of massages. Prices for massages start at 35€ for half an hour.

Rambla130 Spa Barcelona MassageCan’t decide what to choose? Let Rambla 130 set you up with one of their pre-prepared ‘rituals’. These packages start at 85€ for 90 minutes and include a mix of massages, peelings, hot stone treatments and more. We recommend the ‘ritual Refugio Urbano’, or Urban Refuge ritual, for total relaxation which combines a foot exfoliation and a full body massage with lavender and geranium scents.

Rambla 130 is much more than a beauty centre, it also aims to provide resources for general wellbeing, offering treatments for skin problems, anti-aging, physiotherapy and physical fitness.

If you’re looking to stay in the city for a while, take a look at their personalised consultation packages, combining weekly or monthly sessions with a renowned anti-aging specialist and fitness or beauty treatments.

Group treatments

Rambla 130 Mani-PediIf you’re coming to Barcelona on a girls’ weekend or celebrating a hen party here, then there’s no better place to enjoy some pamper time. While other spas in the city may limit treatments to one person at a time, the open-plan style of the mani-pedi area combined with the close proximity of the massage rooms makes Rambla 130 the ideal spot to be all together in one place for your treatments. The staff speaks several languages too, including English, Spanish and Italian.
