Mostly located in the left part of the Eixample neighborhood, also known as Gaixample, you will find the city’s most diverse and welcoming nightlife. 1. Plata Bar
Plata Bar is a classy New York style bar with dim lighting and plasma screens playing music videos. Here they serve a long list of craft cocktails along with a few delicious tapas. This bar has a great location in the heart of Gaixample with large gallery windows so you can watch the world go by outside, you also may like to take a step out onto the amazing terrace to catch some fresh air.

If you want to dance the night away this is the place for you. Metro Disco is the premiere gay dance club in Barcelona. You will find a large diverse crowd, great music, and strong cocktails. The entrance fee can be a little steep, especially on the weekends, but you get your first drink for free.

Sky Bar is a glorious rooftop bar at the Axel Hotel. The bar has recently upgraded to include a small pool and jacuzzi that are very popular with the guests who can be seen sipping cocktails here any day of the week. This gay bar in Barcelona is exceptionally fun in the summer when they host themed pool parties.

Átame is a Barcelona gay and lesbian bar that is calm during the week and lively on the weekends. If you want to stop in for a drink on Thursday you can get some great prices during happy hour. On the weekend there’s quite a crowd sweating it out on the dance floor. Sundays are the best nights at Átame thanks to their popular drag queen performance.

This unique group of 5 bars and discos in Barcelona’s Eixample district cater to the gay and lesbian community. One entry fee gives you access to all, and included are a giant dance club, a lesbian bar, a gay bar, and a couple more that are mixtures of all three. We recommend starting the tour at Arena Madre which is known to have the most diverse crowd, you can meet some new people you might invite to join you in your night out with the Arena Group.
