Fear not… we’ve got the answer with our guide to the best bars in Barcelona to hit before you go clubbing!

Barcelona has an endless bar scene. The variety on offer is actually at times overwhelming as there are just so many options available that it’s difficult to know where to go! But to get your night off to a cracking start, you’ll need a trendy resto-bar before heading to the clubs in Barcelona, offering some pre-boogie sustenance, cool vibes and delicious drinks.
Known as one of the best cocktail bars of the Gothic Quarter, Milk is a great choice to start your evening. Its classy, retro décor makes for a fun, lively atmosphere and, naturally, its wide range of party-starting tipples helps too! Milk’s cool, chill-out tunes make this spot bang on trend at the moment and its all day opening hours mean you can come here early, take your time and leisurely get into the zone.

Nearest clubs: Head to nearby Plaça Reial where you’ll find Jamboree, Sidecar, and Karma.
Over in the Raval area you’ll find the incredible Marmalade. This restaurant-come-cocktail-bar has an incredible, elegant-vintage interior and claims to have styled itself on the idea of ‘1950s Havana meets New York’. Its high ceilings, mood lighting and glamorous kitsch furniture make this place unique and a great place to get the party started.
The cocktail menu at Marmalade is vast, with so many tempting concoctions available, but the Berry Caipirinha and La Diva del Chocolate are particular winners. Marmalade also has a great food menu and all day opening hours, so again is a good place to come early, relax and work your way up to fever pitch.

LeKasBah is the place to be if you want to mingle with the city’s young and beautiful. This chic restaurant-club is part of the famous Otto Zutz group, one of the giants of Barcelona’s clubbing scene. The cool Arabic-inspired décor makes for a great ambiance and after dinner the music gets going with DJs pumping out some of the latest tunes. With a good combination of food, drinks and party vibes this is a great place to get the ball rolling, and with the beachfront just a short stroll away you can be at some of Barcelona’s best clubs in no time!

Time for Something Different!
We all love a good themed bar to get us into the party spirit and Barcelona has its fair share of options…
Feeling hardcore? Then Espit Chupitos is the place for you! This specialty shot bar has no end of options and is certainly not for the faint hearted. With prices generally around the 2€ mark this is a fun stop off if you’re after something different and is especially good for groups of friends – careful not to get too carried away though! Espit currently has two venues in the city, one in Eixample and one in the Gothic Quarter, convenient for different clubbing areas of the city and so very tempting for a cheeky pre-club boost.
