Barcelona is ideally placed for weekend trips to nearby towns and villages around Catalonia. One that we highly recommend visiting is Cadaqués. A quaint and more or less unchanged fishermen’s village home to the late Salvador Dalí, with whitewash houses, stunning scenery and delicious food and drink. Only two and a half hours from the Catalan capital, you’d be mad not to visit Cadaqués during your stay in Barcelona.
