The Best Spas in Barcelona
In the grand scheme of things, travelling is relaxing- right? But sometimes the trains, planes, lines, and backpacking can put a lot of stress on our bodies. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of Barcelona’s most popular spas. Use these luxurious locations to relax, rejuvenate, and prepare for your next adventure.
Comfort Center Quiromassatge
If you visit the Sant Antoni Neighbourhood, you’ll find Trip Advisor’s top ranking spa. Based on the gushing reviews and impressive ranking, the Comfort Center Quiromassatge earns first place on our list too. The kinds of massages offered are extensive in type, price, and length. So you can enjoy hot stones, aroma therapy, or a “four hands” massage (which is when two people give you a massage at once). Luckily for us novices, the site is super easy to navigate and describes every treatment in detail. So, for example, what’s Maderotherapy? You can check the website to learn that it’s a technique that utilizes wooden instruments.
Avinguda de Mistral, 51, 08015 Barcelona
Aqua Bliss Fish Spa
Just a short walk from Plaça de Catalunya, nestled amongst the winding streets of the Gothic Quarter, you’ll find the next spa on our list, Aqua Bliss Fish Spa. Bear with us- it’s a little bit unconventional, as their specialty treatment is the “doctor fish” treatment. Sit back and relax as garra ruffa fish remove the dead skin from your feet (perhaps not for the ticklish!), and afterwards enjoy a foot massage along with tea, mineral water, or even cava. A great choice for those with sore feet after a long day of travel! If this sounds unappealing or too ambitious, the spa also offers manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages.
Carrer Comtal, 33, 08002 Barcelona
Aire Ancient Baths Barcelona
Though this spa has locations in other beautiful cities like Sevilla, New York, and Chicago- your experience will feel like one of a kind in these temples inspired by the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Ottomans. Of all the spas on the list, this seems like the most atmospheric- with the warm yellow lanterns, icy blue baths, and rustic brick columns. Though the spa offers an array of interesting treatments, the one that really jumps out is the “Wine Bath Experience”. For €155, you can spend 30 minutes sitting in a red wine bath. During this time, you’ll drink wine and receive a cranio facial massage. Afterwards you’ll get a 45-minute full body massage. For more information, check out Aire’s official website.
Passeig de Picasso, 22, 08003 Barcelona
Prem Bodhi Therapy
Next on the list, we have Prem Bodhi Therapy. The spa offers eight treatments that range from a traditional Thai massage to more specific and unique treatments like the Bok-Bu massage which “cares for your internal organs”. Or maybe try the skull-facial massage for “a moment of peace and serenity”. The website is easy to navigate and describes each treatment in depth. If you’re curious about rates, a 30-minute back massage runs €35, 45 minutes is €50, and so on.
Carrer de Pelai, 12, 6-K, 08001 Barcelona
Ambriosa Spa
The final spa on our list. Ambriosa Spa, is located near Passeig de Grácia and uses organic products to offer a personalised therapy experience. Try a treatment of “luxury sensation” like “the ritual of time” which offers 180 minutes of any therapy for €180. Or maybe try a “wellness ritual” like the “cosmopolitan ritual”. This is a shorter experience at just 60 minutes, but includes some aromatic peeling, a nourishing fruit wrap, and a relaxing massage. This helps heal damaged skin and is recommended to try after a long, dry summer!
Passatge de Domingo, 9, 08007 Barcelona
