Now that Sónar Festival and OFFSónar has drawn to a close, many might be thinking that’s about it… but fear not as there are many equally exciting events and festivals in Barcelona this summer to look forward to!
We’ve taken a look at the vast selection of events that are in store in Barcelona over the summer season and have selected our favourites below…
Brunch in the Park
Continuing on from the same concept as the Brunch in the City series in Poble Espanyol, Brunch in the Park will instead be held in the Jardins de Joan Brossa of Montjuïc, and what a wonderful location it is! Last year brought plenty of top DJ’s to Barcelona such as Marco Carola and Hot Since 82, and this year is no different! The organisers of this summer’s Brunch in the Park series in Barcelona have curated a fantastic line up featuring some of the biggest and best names in electronic music, such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and many more…
Taking place every Sunday this summer, and with the biggest names in electronic music to take the stage, this is a massive summer event in Barcelona, and is certainly not to be missed!

WetDeck Summer Sessions at Hotel W
If you’ve ever been to the beach in Barcelona, without doubt you would have noticed the luxurious hotel that overlooks it. This is Hotel W, one of Barcelona’s most famous 5-star hotels. On Sundays during the summer season, they offer one of the most exclusive parties in the city, featuring electronic-house sessions by world-renowned DJs, a wide selection of cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere and of course, beautiful views over the Mediterranean. This season brings top DJs such as Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and Roland Clark, so be sure to check it out at some point during the summer! Love Come Down: El Verano del Disco
Disco music fans unite! Summer 2018 brought the first ever Love Come Down summer residency in Barcelona. Once a month during summer, this much-loved London brand brings an al-fresco disco to the roof terrace of the Gallery Hotel, and it’s completely free of charge! With sunset views, a pool, great cocktails, an outdoor dancefloor and of course, the best disco records old and new, this event is definitely not worth missing. There are only 2 more events left during this summer so be sure to check them out before it’s too late!

Elrow 8th Birthday
The event which needs no introduction, but we’ll give it one anyway. For the past eight years, Elrow has been working hard to position itself in the top bracket when it comes to parties and has been very successful in doing so. Their parties are now known worldwide due to their philosophy of entertaining in the most wonderful of ways
Whether it be at their spiritual home in Viladecans (Barcelona) or their summer home at Space Ibiza, elrow’s joyful and exuberant signature has left many a mark on those lucky enough to have experienced it. For their 8th birthday, they have enlisted the skills of top DJs such as Adam Beyer, Paco Osuna, Toni Varga and many more. There’s no doubt this event will be extra special given the celebrations, making it one not to be missed!

This July, Cruïlla Festival returns to Barcelona for its 11th edition, and it is sure to be better than ever. Cruïlla prides itself on its variety; with its Catalan meaning of ‘crossroads’, the festival has an eclectic line-up, mixing different styles of music without prejudice. The people over at Cruïlla try to convey that this festival is more than just a crossroads though; it’s a meeting point for musical styles.
Performers across the weekend will take to one of five stages spread across Barcelona’s famous Parc del Fòrum, which will also be full of activities, circus, games, workshops and stalls from organisations with social projects, which gives Cruïlla Festival a true community feel and proves that it’s much more than music.
However, music is of course the main attraction, and this year Cruïlla festival boasts a superb line-up, with headline performances from N.E.R.D, Jack White, The Roots and Bugzy Malone, this surely is set to be one of Barcelona’s best summer festivals.

This August, DGTL will return to Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona for its 4th edition. Like previous years, DGTL have curated a line-up of cutting-edge electronic music, conceptual art performances & installations, all with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Expect top DJs like Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Solomun and DJ Koze, just to name a few!

Festa Major de Gràcia
Known for being one of the biggest street festivals in Barcelona is the Festa Major de Gràcia. Taking place between 15th – 21st August, it’s a street festival in the older part of the Gràcia district in Barcelona. Around 17 streets are decorated by the residents and there are hundreds of activities to take part in, including concerts and parades. The Gràcia Festival is about Catalan traditions like parades, giants, castle building and fire-runs, but most of all, it’s a shining example of community spirit which also welcomes visitors. It’s authentic, fun, colourful and definitely worth a visit!
